Bueller Comes, good! Bueller was 13 weeks when we sent him to you for your 3 week residential training course - a tiny bundle of energy and fun - but completely out of control and not dissimilar to a rapidly growing Tasmanian Devil. With a holiday already booked before we picked him up and a baby on the way in 3 months we were looking for a solution to house-sitting/kennels & training when we came across your website for Crosskeys Books, and from there your clickerzone UK. We weren't overly comfortable with the idea of kennels, especially for a long period of time, but the described benefits of the training, and the fact that he would as part of his course be out and about a lot during the day with you, along with the time you spent on the phone and email with us putting our minds at rest convinced us that this was probably the best solution for all of us. Dropping him off broke my heart, but as you kept in touch and he seemed to be doing well, by the time we actually went away 10 days into his stay, we were both feeling more comfortable with the whole idea and were confident that he was happy and learning. 3 weeks passed and as we came to collect him we weren't really sure what to expect... what we got was nothing short of miraculous to us. He was the same bundle of fun and energy - if a little bigger - but with manners, in control, and a different dog when it came to his behaviour. The next few weeks proved that it was far from a short term fix, but something he loved to work on continuously and a complete change in his attitude to us and other people/dogs around him. We never managed to avoid his typical puppy traits - chewing, biting until he lost his teeth, and his general bounciness but have ended up with a beautiful dog whom we both love to be around, who is 95% in control at all times (the missing 5% being our fault entirely - he's still probably a little spoilt) and is also a dog who loves spending time out and about with other dogs and people, something he was very nervous of before he came to you. Most importantly we have no fears about bringing baby into the mix in the next few weeks, and do in fact hope that he is able to return to you, whilst we settle in, for a brief holiday and top up on his training. Clifford and I would firstly like to thank you all, and would both highly recommend you and Josie and your training course to anyone we knew with a young dog - your staff obviously spent plenty of time with Bueller and made him feel at home, and the clicker training produced quite incredible results.. It does require you to keep the training up, but the fact that he loves every minute of it - and the almost instantaneous improvement in behaviour it produces every time makes it completely worthwhile. Please feel free to use us/Bueller as a reference and share this testimonial on your website... Many thanks again for all you did - Maeve, Clifford & Bueller...
